CNE (Contact hours)

Each item on our agenda (except Continental Breakfast, Breaks and Exhibit Time) are eligible for CNE’s.  GASN is applying for these CNE’s on your behalf.   


This activity has been submitted to the Georgia Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The Georgia Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.


You will receive a link to complete your speaker evaluations. Once completed you will receive a copy of your CNE’s earned. You will need to keep this in a safe place where you can find it in the future. We suggest keeping a copy in your files and 1 on your computer so you can find either of them when you go to renew your GA License.


**Please note that no partial CNE credits are given. You must attend all main conference sessions to receive all Main Conference Credits.



Is hotel stay included in the conference registration fees?


The conference registration does not include hotel room fees.  Please refer to the  2020 hotel information to book your room at the host hotel, the Hyatt Regency Savannah.  The full conference registration includes admittance to Main Conference Breakout Sessions, Continental Breakfast during the Main Conference and the Annual Business Meeting (lunch is extra), and the Exhibit Hall. It also includes Exhibit Hall refreshments.


Are there any meals provided?

In general, meals are provided on the attendee's own.  At this time, please budget the cost of every meal during conference. GASN has scheduled refreshments on June 16th, June 17-19 in the Exhibit Hall.  Some events and sessions/meetings may also have food provided.  As details become known, they will be shared with attendees. 

 

Can I use my cell phone?

GASN encourages attendees to bring a cellular telephone or other mobile device in order to access the conference mobile app and session handouts.  Please be sure to turn ringers off as a courtesy to speakers and others.

 

Why should I use the conference website?

The conference website is THE place to find all of the information needed related to the conference.  Pay special attention to the Attendees page for access to FAQ, and more.

What do I do when I arrive at the conference?

Go to the GASN registration desk to pick up conference materials including the conference program, name badge, and any additional tickets or items you purchased with your registration.

NOTE: Name badges must be worn for admittance to all events.  A name badge is proof of registration.  Without it, individuals may not be allowed to participate in conference activities.

 

Are guests allowed?   

We have one event where we will allow guest to attend.  This is our President’s Welcome Reception on Wednesday night where we will have light snacks and beverages.   Spouse or significant other and are welcomed to join us, however there will be a fee for them to join us to cover their food cost.
