The Georgia Association of School Nurses

Governor Nathan Deal Recognizes Georgia School Nurses!

Governor Nathan Deal issued a proclamation to declare May 10, 2017 as SCHOOL NURSE DAY in Georgia and acknowledged School Nurses at the state capitol on May 25th.  Governor Deal shared all students have the right to have their health needs safely met while in the school setting. School nurses are professional nurses that advance the well-being, academic success and life-long achievements of all students by serving on the frontlines and providing a critical safety net for our children. Healthy Georgia Children are our state’s most valuable asset and Georgia acknowledges school nurses throughout the state who meet the needs of our students by delivering health care in our schools.

Thank you Governor Deal for supporting Georgia School Nurses!
